Artificial neural network: An artificial neural network (ANN) is an AI approach that is inspired by the structure of biological neural networks. ANNs each comprise three types of interconnected layers of artificial neurons: an input layer, one or more hidden intermediary computational layers, and an output layer that delivers the result.
